Some time ago, I was very upset about why my Samsung S23 Ultra was not charging in super-fast mode

Then I took a break from my daily work life and started to research what are possible reasons why super fast charging is not working in my Samsung S23 and how I can fix it.

And guess what?

I found out the exact reason and fixed it. And I am also going to share it with you. If you’re also facing this issue, then this post is for you.

There are many reasons that can cause slow charging of your Samsung device. I’ve also shared all the ways you can fix it.

Below, we’ve shared all the possible ways to fix it; try it step by step. I’m 100% sure at the end of this article, you’ll be able to fix the fast charging issue in your Samsung S23.

Now let me explain all the steps briefly-

Fix 01: Enable Fast Charging From Settings

This is one of the basic settings that should be enabled in your device to charge your phone in super-fast mode. 

So, before proceeding with any troubleshooting steps, you should check whether it is on or not.

If you don’t know how to enable fast charging on your Samsung device, follow these steps-

To enable fast charging on a Samsung device, follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings:
  • Navigate to Device Care or Battery
  • Go to Battery Settings
  • Scroll down to Fast Charging and check if the toggle is on or not.

If you’ve enabled fast charging still, you’re facing the error; try the below-shared methods to get rid of to fast charging issue.

Fix 02: Use the Original Charger and Cable

If your phone is still not charging in super fast mode, it can be either your charger or cable issue. 

If you’re using any third-party cable or charger, make sure it meets with standard requirements for your Samsung Galaxy S22/S23.

And if you’re using the original Samsung charger and cable, and still it is not working, try replacing the charger and cable one by one. 

Sometimes, the cable becomes damaged due to rugged use, so first try to replace the cable with another original Samsung cable.

Fix 03: Clean The Charging Port

Another solution to get back your fast charging feature on your Samsung device is to clean your charging port

The super fast charging mode can be prevented by your phone if there is dust or any particles inside the charging port.

So you check inside the charging port using a flashlight or torch.

If there is any particle, clean it using any toothpick or any sharp object except anything metallic with full attention.

Take a cotton swab, dip it in isopropyl alcohol, and clean the port. Since.

You can also clean it using a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol evaporates quickly so that it will take away remnants and corrosion with it.

Fix 04: Soft Reset

If none of the above solutions fix your issue, try to reset your device. Sometimes, a minor glitch in device software can also cause this issue.

You can eliminate these types of problems by performing a soft reset on your device.

If you don’t know how to perform a soft reset, don’t worry; I’ve shared step by step-by-step process to perform a soft reset on your device.

Follow these steps to perform a soft reset-

  • Press and hold the power button until the device’s power options menu appears.
  • Select Restart, and This will initiate a soft reset of your device.
  • Wait for the Device to Restart.
  • Alternatively, you can also soft reset your device by pressing and holding down the power button and the volume down button simultaneously for about 10-15 seconds.

It’ll soft reset your device. Now, insert your charging cable and check if it fixes your slow charging problem.

Fix 05: Check for Software Updates

If your device is running on an older version of the software, sometimes it can also cause the problem. 

So once check for the updates. If it is available, download and install it to solve your problem.

If you don’t know how to check for updates on your Samsung device, follow these steps-

  • Open the Settings app on your device.
  • Now scroll down to “Software Update.”
  • If any update is available, there’ll be written: “Download and Install.” So, you’ll have to download and install the update.
  • After the update, insert the charging cable into the device and check if your problem gets resolved.

Fix 06: Contact the Samsung Service Center

If you’re unable to fix the slow charging problem in your Samsung device even after trying all the above-shared methods.

Then, there may be a hardware problem in your device. 

So, in this case, it’s better to get in touch with Samsung’s authorized service center.

If your device falls under the warranty validity, they’ll repair it for free.

 If the warranty period has been over, then you may have to pay the repair cost.
